Buku Music + Art Project is unlike any festival you’ve been to before. Tucked right in the heart of New Orleans’ burgeoning Warehouse District, BUKU flaunts it’s unique vibe in all aspects of the festival. From the signature BUKU Graffiti Wall to the classic New Orleans food, BUKU blends the rich culture of New Orleans with the progressive attitude of our attendees.

Picture being with your friends nestled in between an active railroad, a dilapidated power plant and the Mississippi River with barges rolling by throughout the night… add to it the New Orleans skyline and Crescent City Connection bridge looming in the distance… with one of the stages in a Mardi Gras float manufacturing warehouse, and the VIP hang as a 3-level riverboat docked along the festival grounds… all of this a short walk from the French Quarter? Yep, that’s BUKU. We have no shame in bragging.

BUKU is no longer just an event or a place, but it has become an adjective and a lifestyle. Come join us and find out what it means to get #toobuku.

In 2014, BUKU will feature five totally unique and isolated stages, allowing for no stage-to-stage sound bleed, a short walk between stages, and an intimate vibe at each stage.

BUKU‘s outside Power Plant stage sits between the active New Orleans Public Belt Railroad and the Mississippi River, all in the haunting glow of the run-down Market Street Power Plant.

If you’ve been to BUKU before, you know the Float Den stage goes off. Placed in a Mardi Gras float manufacturing warehouse and adorned with in-your-face production, the Float Den can become quite the disorienting warehouse dance party.

The sleek Ballroom is like a concert hall transported itself onto a festival grounds. Equipped with balcony viewing, the Ballroom will feature brand-new lighting and art decor for 2014.

New for 2014, the Back Alley is BUKU‘s underground dance party. A sexy riverside vibe is what you’ll find here with views of the Crescent City Connection bridge towering over the Mississippi River.
