Where is the festival located & how do I get there?

Check out our directions page to learn more!

What is the closest airport?

(MSY) Louis Armstrong New Orleans is the closest airport to fly into if you’re travelling from across the BUKU nation!

Will there be parking and how much?

Yes! There will be a few parking lots open for BUKU attendees with spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. These lots are the property and sole responsibility of, and will be controlled and staffed by, the New Orleans Convention Center. Team BUKU is not responsible for anything that goes on out there, but please play nice and don’t tailgate.

Will there be camping at the festival?

No, dude, this is New Orleans! Mardi Gras World is minutes away from the French Quarter and downtown so there are plenty of hotels within walking distance. Check out our hotel packages and don’t be that guy who pitches a tent in the parking lot or sleeps in his car.

Where can I stay when I’m in New Orleans?

Check out our hotel packages for some great options we’ve put together for you!

Will there be food at BUKU?

Hell yeah! We work hard to make sure the food sold at BUKU is unique, indigenous to NOLA, and different than your usual festival fair. Come hungry and check back soon for more info on vendors and food options!

What should I know about Booze?

Of course, you MUST be 21+ to drink. There will be a maximum limit of two (2) drinks per person per order. Good news — VIP ticket holders may leave the VIP-designated areas with a drink, but only one (1) drink at a time. Please drink responsibly. Do not drink and drive. Do not buy a drink for anyone under 21. You will not be served if you are under 21, don’t have a photo ID proving you are at least 21, and/or are intoxicated.

What’s the ATM situation like?

There will be ATMs on-site, both near the box office and inside the festival.

Will there be a lost & found at BUKU, and where?

If you lose something (or someone), please come to the info booth and hopefully we can assist you. If you find an abandoned item that is not yours, please kindly bring it to the info booth during the festival and we will do everything in our best ability to return it to its rightful owner!

Are you hiring volunteers to work at BUKU?

Absolutely! We’re always looking for outgoing individuals to help make the BUKU experience truly amazing. Head over to our Volunteers Page to learn more.

Will there be strobes and stuff?

Yes. To make it pretty for you, artists may use the following at BUKU: Strobe lights, lasers, bright lights, and synthetic fog and smoke. These could cause the following health conditions in some people: epileptic seizure, headache, dizziness, disorientation, or anxiety. Special care should be taken by epilepsy sufferers. View at your own risk and go to the medical booth if you feel sick.

I have a question that wasn’t answered here! What to do?

Please contact us at info@thebukuproject.com and we’ll get back to you!

Is that it?

Nope, please check back often as we will be adding more helpful information as the event nears.
